Green Carpet Series Fashion Show

L-R: Andrea Walmsley (from another show), Me!, and Sandra (model is Canadian designer Linda Lundstrom's daughter)

I had mentioned sometime last week that I would be doing a charity fashion show for Green Carpet Series and PETA. Well, tonight went very smoothly. It was a very laid back atmosphere, nothing at all pretentious about it. It makes it easier when you get to work with fun people. The key make-up artist was Andrea Claire Walmsley, celebrity make-up artist for Stylin' Gipsies, So Chic on the Life Network, and was the L'oreal Spokeperson for Canadian Idol 2/3. I was happy to get an email from her asking if I'd be interested in doing the show. It had been a while since we last seen each other.

Anyways, the look for the models was inspired by Drew Barrymore on the latest issue of Harper's Bazaar. The models tresses were done in beautiful soft waves and the make-up was very dewy and radiant; neutral shimmery browns on the eye with lots of mascara, rosy pink blush on the cheeks, red fuchsia stained lips with a bit of gloss and lots of shine on the cheekbones. All the other artists there were from an agency, judy inc. and me and one other girl were the only freelance artists. I met a really cool chick from judy inc. Sandra who is now enjoying Justin Timberlake sing "Sexy Back" (I totally forgot he was coming to town!).

There were some great designers that were featured like Alexandra of Yoga Gurl who I did make-up on. If you're in need of some cool yoga clothes check out their site. They've got some cute shirts with very zen sayings on them. Another great clothing line that was featured was the ever popular, ever trendy preloved. I have been dieing to check out their vintage inspired clothes but have not had the chance to yet.

As I was packing up Fashion Television was doing an interview with Kim D'Eon from E.T. Canada. They used my station to do the interview so I patiently waited to pack up the rest of my stuff. She's even more stunning in person and seemed really nice. As I was leaving I bumped into George Stroumboulopoulos from The Hour and one of the hosts for the evening. He was getting touched up by Andrea.

All in all, it was a great night and for a great cause. Stay tuned for my shoot with the winner of the ebay auction next Sunday, February 4th. She won a shopping spree, makeover and photo shoot. Should be fun!

hi there.. i enjoyed your blog.. and i like the blush that you use on this photo for this entry. DO you mind telling me which blush do you use ? I think i have similar skin tone as you and i have problem looking for the right blush, maybe i am just too "raw" in make up. Thanks
