Think Pink: Renew Eyelash Revitalizer

Renew Eyelash Revitalizer ($80 USD) is one beauty break-through that has me swooning! I'm calling out to all my lash-challenged Makeup Junkies! My dreams of natural, long, full lashes are coming true! I was very skeptical about this serum actually working but after only using it for a week I'm already seeing a huge improvement! My lashes are noticeably longer and fuller! I thought for the longest while that only water-proof mascaras were the only formulas that could make these lashes lift but not anymore. Ever since I've been using Renew Eyelash Revitalizer, non-waterproof mascaras swipe on like a dream! I actually have lashes to work with! Due to frequent applications of fake lashes, my lashes on the outer corner of my left eye fell out. And now they're back! My lashes have never looked this feathery and voluminous! I'm truly excited about it!

Formulated to address sparse and brittle lashes, Renew Eyelash Revitalizer is a unique product that yields real results. Using a highly concentrated and effective serum, Renew Eyelash Revitalizer gently encourages new and stronger growth. It is all natural (and has always been all natural). Most importantly, the result is the healthy and safe solution for those who long for longer and fuller lashes. Your lashes will look glamourous in 3-4 weeks!

Benefits:

  • 100% Natural Ingredients
  • Professional formula
  • No rash or burn to the skin
  • Strengthens growth
  • Hypoallergenic
  • Non-comedogenic
  • For men and women
Renew donates 5% of their proceeds to the Breast Cancer Awareness Foundation.

Have you tried Renew Eyelash Revitalizer? Love it? Hate it?

Comments4aCure: Be Breast Aware Part 3

Thank you, thank you for those of you that have left comments! Today is the last day for Comments4aCure on Makeup Junkie so please keep those comments coming! Here is Part 3 of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation "Be Breast Aware".

What To Look For:

Knowing how your breasts normally look and feel can help you be aware of changes that should be reported to a doctor. Most breast changes will not be cancer, but still should be discussed with a doctor. Changes to look for include the following:
  • Changes to the size or shape of one or both breasts.
  • Unusual, persistent pain in the breast or armpit area.
  • Swelling under the armpit or below the collarbone.
  • Nipple changes, including change in the shape or position of a nipple, or a nipple that becomes pulled inward (inverted).
  • Other things to look for: redness, discharge from one or both nipples, lumps or thickening, skin changes including irritation, rash or scaly skin, and dimpling or puckering.
If you are not sure if a change is significant, check again after your next period, or a few weeks later if you are no longer menstruating.

Remember those that have lost the fight, those that are fighting, and those that have won the fight. Do yourself a favour and get yourself checked regularly and remind others to get checked. It's an important cause and your comments will definitely change a life. Thank you to everyone for your lovely comments and supporting BCA! Peace and love!

Comments4aCure: Be Breast Aware

I'm calling on all my makeup junkies to support my Comments4aCure cause to help raise money for breast cancer awareness! Starting October 20 and ending October 22, I will donate $1 for every comment (up to a maximum of $150) made during these days will go towards my charities of choice: Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation and The Breast Cancer Research Fund. Just leave your comments after the featured post. :)

Today, I start Part 1 of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, "Be Breast Aware", series that offers women tips on how be informed.

Five Steps To Being Breast Aware:

1. Know how your breasts normally look and feel.

2. Know what changes to look for.

3. Look and feel for changes.

4. Report any changes to a doctor.

5. Go for a free mammogram if you are of the appropriate age, or if recommended by a doctor. By finding breast abnormalities in the early stages, mammograms can save lives. Women at the appropriate age can get a free mammogram through their regional breast screening program.

Think Pink: Too Faced Betsey Baby!

The story behind Too Faced Eyeshadow Duo in Betsey Baby ($17 USD) is a personal one. This custom-made duo shadow of delicate mauve-pink/light neutral pink was named after Too Faced creator, Jerrod Blandino's dear friend, Betsey Olum. Betsey, Sr. VP of Marketing for Sephora, had been diagnosed with breast cancer and during this difficult time, Jerrod was her top supporter. Betsey had asked Jerrod on a whim if he would bring back her favourite discontinued Too Faced Shadow, Heiress. Together the fierce duo developed the perfect highlighting-accent colour. It was renamed Betsey Baby in honour of her battle and triumph over breast cancer. What an amazing story!

Jerrod has committed to donating $3 per sale of this limited-edition shadow to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF). In return, Betsy has personally committed to the same donation, as has Sephora and $9 per sale of Betsy Baby will be directed to BCRF!

Think Pink: Makeup Junkie Update

I can't believe it's only Day 2 because the buzz is everywhere! Amazing! In a previous post I said I would be giving $1 for every comment up to $150 and donating to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. I still plan to do this but will be giving half to BCRF and the other half will go to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. Events are happening all across Canada one of which includes the CIBC Run For The Cure happening this Sunday, October 5th.

I also wanted to let readers know that I've added the ChipIn Widget created by The Beauty Blog Network for Breast Cancer Research Foundation on the right hand side of my page. You can automatically donate by clicking on the widget or you can visit http://comments4acure.chipin.com/breast-cancer-awareness. Every little bit helps!
