I can't believe it's only Day 2 because the buzz is everywhere! Amazing! In a previous post I said I would be giving $1 for every comment up to $150 and donating to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. I still plan to do this but will be giving half to BCRF and the other half will go to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. Events are happening all across Canada one of which includes the CIBC Run For The Cure happening this Sunday, October 5th.

October Is Think Pink Month at Makeup Junkie!

October 1st marks the beginning of Think Pink month here at Makeup Junkie! This special month will be all about raising awareness and money for Breast Cancer Awareness. October 1st - October 31st Makeup Junkie will be doing our part in getting you in the know so be ready for an informative yet fun-filled month dedicated to a special cause: you and your breasts! Here's what's coming up in October:

Estee Lauder and its brands will be selling 24 Pink Ribbon products to raise money for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Brands included are: Aveda, Bobbi Brown, Bumble and Bumble, Clinique, Darphin, Donna Karan, Jo Malone, La Mer, Lab Series Skincare for Men, Ojon, Origins, Prescriptives, Tommy Hilfiger Toiletries and Sean Jean Fragrances. Stay tuned for Pink product reviews from some of these brands as well as other brands also participating in BCA!


Makeup Junkie will be participating in Comments For A Cure by The Beauty Blog Network starting October 20 - October 22. Here's how it works: For every comment made on all blog posts during those 3 days Makeup Junkie will donate $1 for every comment to The Breast Cancer Awareness Fund! I am baking up a storm and I haven't done this since high school. My husband thanked my son for turning 2 today lol. When I think back on the first day he was born, I was in such a different place. Scared, excited, scared and definitely not a homemaker! I was an urban mom living downtown and here I am two years later living in a house in the suburbs cooking and baking! Ahhh! My son turning 1 was definitely special but there's just something about turning 2 that makes it even more special. He's this little person, talking, laughing, making jokes, dancing, and saying "no" a little more than I'd like to hear. We turned his crib into a "big boy" bed today; I was nearly close to tears! Sigh. lol Tomorrow we take the boy to the water festival down by the lake to meet Max and Ruby and Dora. After, is his basketball themed birthday bash! Then Sunday is Father's Day! Busy weekend!
