Beauty Trends: Eyes Are Singin' The Blues Fall/Winter 2008 Part 1

Fall 2007 brought back Old Hollywood glamour with perfectly defined red lips. This Fall season, the focus is on the eyes and blue was the standout colour. Blue rocked the runway in different shades from bold and deep to soft and innocent. Cheeks and lips were kept neutral in nudes, soft violets and pinks. Hues of blue don't have to be overpowering and scary - line the eyes in royal blue as seen at Tommy Hilfiger or swipe on blue mascara to make those peepers pop.

Hi Joy! I come with a dilemma... :( I have the Smashbox cream liner in a nice dark blue. The only problem is, it isn't exactly smudgeproof. I accidentally rub it off because I'm notorious for rubbing my eyes.

Is MAC Fluidline completely smudge proof? Ideally I'd like something in gel/cream form, smudgeproof but not waterproof, because I'm such a lazy ass... lol. I don't really wanna spend too much time on taking my makeup off in the evening.

Please let me know! Thanks :)

Hey Arianne!

You're not the only one that's said Smashbox's liner smudges. Sadly it's true and M.A.C.'s Fluidline is much better and smudgeproof. The Fluidlines aren't hard to remove either. Did you just buy Smashbox's liner recently? See if you can return it. I hate returning beauty products but if it really isn't working for you I'd return it.

Let me know if you end up getting MAC's liner and what you think! Thanks for stopping by!

Thanks for the tip. I've had it for a while but don't use it often because it smudges. I'll definitely give Fluidline a try!
