Happy Mother's Day Contest With Philosophy!

Makeup Junkie is thrilled to announce our Mother's Day contest give away featuring a gift basket from Philosophy worth $250! I've been a fan of the brand for a long time, particularly the yummy smelling 3 in 1 shower gels and Purity Made Simple. I love the whole 'philosophy' behind the brand - skincare that improves your physical appearance and your inner well-being. Their products are always packaged in fun 1950's inspired themes.

Mother's Day is one of my favourite holidays. After many years of spoiling my mom, I finally get to be spoiled and have a day all to myself! Being a mother has given me a greater appreciation and love for my mom's experience as a single mother of 3. And thanks to my mom, I credit her for my love of beauty products. #1 beauty tip my mom instilled in me? Take care of your skin! My mom's skin is like a baby's bottom and looks as youthful as a teenager's! She never goes a day without moisturizing her skin.

the best beauty tip my mom gave me is to always wash my makeup off. she really stressed the importance of this and it's largely thanks to that that my skin (until recently) hasn't had any issues. thanks, mom!

Hello! I would love to enter your giveaway. It is a great one by the way. The best beauty advice that my mother told me was that no one can make me feel inferior without my permission (I love that quote BTW) and that in order to feel good on the outside I need to feel good on the inside. Confidence is beauty. She also told me to wear sunscreen and I am forever grateful

My best piece of beauty advice my mom ever gave me was it's never to early to moisturize and use anti-aging products. My mom started using them at 18 years old, and she's 51 now but looks 40! ;)

    Thanks!

Although, both my mother and I greatly appreciate the concept of make up and, the products that allow us such enhancements, I was taught that, to know you're beautiful, makes you all the more beautiful. with or with out make true beauty is from within.

My Mom was never big on makeup tips.... It took me more than half of my lifetime... that is a clever way to not have to reveal my approximate age.... to convince her that she needed to use a softer eye pencil and to invest in a eyebrow pencil.

    What a graceful giveaway!

My mother frequently gives me beauty advice and serves it up with a gross tasting Chinese herbal remedy, but...
The BEST beauty tip my mother ever gave me was, never leave it up to a man to make you feel beautiful.

She is so right! Sometimes it feels like I go through all these crazy beauty treatments and regimens, so that a guy can look at me and tell me I'm pretty.
So this mother's day, I'm looking good for me, mom, and all the beautiful ladies out there!

This is awesome. I love this line.

My mom used to put cold, mashed up papaya on my skin. It's really soothing. Especially since I have many allergic reactions. I also used it on my hair. She always told me natural remedies work best, for moisturizing, soothing and cleansing the skin.. I wish I listened more.. Now I'm scared its too late.

    Tweeting now :)

(One of) the best beauty tips my Mom ever gave me was to never share your mascara with anyone -- what did I know as a teenager since we all swapped just about everything with each other back then. The funny thing was that my Mom actually gave me a tube of her old mascara and I, not knowing any better at the time, used it only to end up getting pink eye.

My mom has stopped wearing makeup now but often gives me skincare and hair beauty tips. One great advice that she told me a long time ago was to always use the cool shot button on the blowdryer after blowdrying. This helps lock in your hairstyle and also makes it more shiny! Even though my mom's not that into makeup, we are always constantly sharing hair products, shoes (same size!) and bags.. which means double as many shoes and bags! ♥

My mum always took her omega3 capsules, drank a lot of water, never had her face waxed(makes wrinkles). She's beautiful - have a lot to be thankful for she taught me well. :)
