Fall Beauty Trends: Cargo PlantLove Spreads The Love

Cargo was one of the first beauty brands to create an eco-conscious lipstick line and now they've spread love to include a full collection! PlantLove Eyeshadow ($20 USD) is an ultra-fine micronized eye shadow infused with natural and organic ingredients. It is free of parabens, phthalates, petrochemicals, and synthetic dyes and fragrances.

L-R: Loon (glimmering khaki bronze) is a really pretty colour. If you're looking for a neutral with some colour Loon is perfect. The colour-payoff is fab but I don't particularly like the texture. It reminds me of M.A.C.'s Lustre shadows. It's kind of grainy and has a lot of fall-off but the colour is gorgeous. Blue Jay (slate blue shimmer) on the other hand has amazing pigment and the texture is velvety smooth. It's an absolutely gorgeous colour and so in trend right now. The shimmery finish might be a little much for day but it looks lovely smudged into the lash line. It'll make those peepers pop. Finch (mauve taupe shimmer) is the perfect match for Blue Jay. Can be worn as a shimmery wash of colour during the day or layered with Blue Jay for night for a smoldering eye.

The packaging is housed in the award-winning PlantLove biodegradable packaging. I love the eco-friendly factor but I find the case kind of bulky and not really makeup bag friendly. Yet, they're pretty light-weight.

Does eco-friendly come into factor when purchasing makeup or can you go either way?
